When boundaries, at their heart, are about being more connected.

Take your family as an example.

Is it better to spend 10 days with them, and feel resentful and exhausted by the end because you overdid it and you’re tired of their shenanigans?

Or would it serve you more to spend 5 fulfilled, present, and happy days with them?

The same goes for work.

Is it better to be angry, pissed off, and emotionally reactive because you’re working 10-hour days and you’re not doing even close to your best work?

Or would it actually serve you (and your colleagues) if you were rested, content, and happy to do what you’re doing?

As an Asian-American, saying no was not part of my vocabulary.

I always went above and beyond to prove my worth and value, whether it was at school or in my work.

Which meant I was continually burned out and exhausted.

But then I learned there was a NEW way.

Which included 5-hour work days, breaking through to the next level in my career, and setting rock-solid boundaries.

It’s why I teach about guilt-free boundaries the Asian Visibility System, my training to help Asian-American leaders get out of hiding and step into their purposeful life.

After 23 years of reinventing myself—from journalist to yoga teacher to coach—I finally understood: the voice I'd been searching for was buried under decades of cultural conditioning.

For 10 years as a journalist, I told others' stories while struggling to value my own voice. Then I spent 13 years as a yoga teacher, thinking I'd escaped corporate politics only to find the same patterns followed me.

The real transformation began with launching a coaching business, podcast and writing 3 books.

Connecting with countless Asian-American women in corporate America, I recognized our shared struggle—successful on paper but feeling perpetually unseen.

I realized my winding career path wasn't about finding the right profession. It was about unlearning the cultural programming that kept me small in every role I'd held:
